Regatta Ramblings: 2015 BOI Sailing Week, Important Pre-Race Information

We’re going to get eighty entries at Bay of Islands Sailing Week 2015, already exceeding the 2014 numbers - it is still not too late to enter

  • Registration is at the North Sails Marquee Tuesday 20 January 1600 to 1800 hrs. There you get your Sailing Instructions Booklet. Please do take time and read it through carefully. Any questions go to the Carters Race Hut
  • Bow Stickers will be issued at registration – please get them on early; follow the instructions and it’s easy to put on
  • Have you read all amendments to the NOR.? There has been several updates – click here
  • Opua Store will take pre-orders for lunches. Greg and his team can cater for any request, you can contact him via email greg@opuastore.co.nz - They look forward to keeping the crew’ tummies well satisfied! Lunch Order Form
  • Please feel free to post all your photos on any social media and tag them with #BOISW, the hashtag feed can be found on http://www.livesaildie.com/boisw/ - any stories and photos can also be posted on our Facebook Page and/or txt them to 021 44 55 29 (Manuela) - Will from Ocean Photography is our official photographer and last but not least,  www.livesaildie.com will report live from on the water during the regatta
  • Entertainment: This year’s band on Wednesday is “SOULSHINE” from Kaitaia and on Thursday and Friday nights is “JPG” from Kerikeri
  • Water Shuttle from the Opua Yacht Club to the Breakwater. Hours are: daily 0700 hrs to 0900 hrs – Wednesday and Thursday 1630 to 1900 – Friday 1630 to 2200 hrs
  • Regatta Shirts ordered in advance are $45.00 plus $5.00 for boat name.   • NORTH SAILS REPAIR SERVICE: North Sails are offering a full repair service of any sail brand. Damaged sails must be delivered to the North Loft at Opua, contacting Roger Hall on 0275 251891. Roger can supply sail bags, battens and any other hardware that may have gone for a swim during the day. Don’t forget to fill out the description Job Sheet with boat name - Credit card payments please
