Race Management: A milestone for John and Linda Parrish

Issue date

The Race Management Seminar held at Waikawa Boating Club this past weekend was a milestone for John and Linda Parrish, as it was the 51st Seminar they have facilitated since resuming the role in 2003.

John and Linda have spent the last 13 winters traveling the country delivering these seminars and contributing a huge amount to the training and qualifying of our country’s Race Officials. They bring to their role a vast amount of knowledge, experience, dedication and passion and do an incredible job of sharing this with seminar attendees. The seminars are enjoyable and informative for all who attend.

A big thank you to John and Linda for the contribution they have made to Yachting!

Race management seminars are targeted at anyone interested in learning or improving the knowledge and skills required to undertake any of the on the water duties to run round the buoys type yacht races. The course is suitable for beginners who want to know more, those with some experience on start boat or mark boat, those who have some experience as a race officer, those who wish to seek qualification as a Club Race Officer or National Race Officer and those very experienced wishing to revalidate their qualification.
