Pre-sale offer for Christchurch SailGP tickets

Issue date

The high-octane world of SailGP is coming to New Zealand and members of clubs affiliated to Yachting New Zealand have a special opportunity to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public.

Christchurch will host the New Zealand Sail Grand Prix on the weekend of March 18-19, 2023, when nine teams will battle it out over a series of fast-paced races that can see the boats reach speeds of close to 100 km/h.

The New Zealand SailGP Team are presently sitting second in the overall standings for the season, having won two of the last three events, and will be highly motivated to perform well on home waters. The racing will take place on the spectacular Whakaraupō, Lyttelton Harbour, which provides an ideal amphitheatre for spectators.

Tickets to the event are strictly limited and will sell out fast. That's why Yachting New Zealand have teamed up with SailGP to provide an opportunity for members of clubs affiliated to Yachting New Zealand to purchase tickets in a special pre-sale.

The pre-sale window opened this morning (September 21) and will be available until 11.59pm on Saturday, September 24.
