“We can’t remember having that many 470s on a start line in New Zealand for quite a few years,” write Jo and Polly in their latest blog.

“It was great racing, especially awesome having a few youth teams on the start line and even another girls team.”

“Our training partners Paul and Dan, the mighty NZL2, took out the regatta rather convincingly, and we had a few good battles but this time they managed to come out on top more times than we would have liked!  Well sailed boys.  Round two still to come!”

Aon Fast Track Squad sailors Sam Barnett and Zak Merton rounded out the podium placings taking 3rd overall with visiting Korean crews taking fourth and fifth.

The second women’s crew was sisters Courtney and Brianna Reynolds-Smith from Murrays Bay Sailing Club; they placed 10th overall.
