A recent initiative has been to create a better relationship between NZIODA and Yachting New Zealand. In doing so, it has been identified that there is potential to offer workshops for coaches, parents, volunteers and coach organisers.
These workshops are specficially designed towards the Opti and consist of a mixture of powerpoint slides, talking, discussion, and practical with a rigged up Opti.
There is some valuable information covered that should allow consistency across the nation, and with anyone that attends a workshop, to then share that knowledge with their sailors as well as other coaches.
Yachting New Zealand is working towards getting these workshops offered across the country.
