The 2013 Hutchwilco Boat Show will provide an exciting promotional opportunity and Yacht Clubs are encouraged to come and be part of the ‘Sailing Central’ pavilion.

“Sailing Central, being held as part of the Hutchwilco Boat Show is free for yacht clubs,” explains Miranda Powrie, Coordinator for Sailing Central.
“Come and support grassroots sailing, tell the general public what our sport is all about and promote your yacht club for free. We find that Boat Show visitors want to know about Club learn-to-sail programmes, what racing you offer, and about any demonstration or open Club days they can be part of.”
Exhibitor passes are available, but strictly to those who are registered as legitimate exhibitors – contact Miranda Powrie for more information.
Powrie explains that Sailing Central will be an exciting an interactive space; “With over 30 Class Associations attending, the central part of hall six at the ASB Showgrounds in Ellerslie will be filled with boats. Polly and Jo’s Olympic winning 470 will be on site, visitors can have a go at trapezing off the side of a Viper Catamaran, you can race your mates for hoisting and bagging a kite on the North Sails and Harken hoisting game or just have a yarn about all things sailing.”

Following a great response to having a presence in 2012 Yachting New Zealand will be taking part once again with a pivotal stand within the heart of Sailing Central and for member Yacht Clubs who can’t attend the Boat Show we can help spread the word about what you offer.
Yacht Clubs are welcome to supply promotional material – posters, flyers, brochures etc – to Yachting New Zealand in advance and we will make them available for Boat Show visitors. Contact Stuart Thomas (stuart@yachtingnz.org.nz) by email if you want to take up this opportunity.
