Online Club Manual now LIVE

Issue date

Yachting New Zealand has introduced an on-line Club Manual chocker block full of useful resources, inspiration and guidance and it’s now LIVE HERE.

Many of you may have seen the original YNZ Club Manual around your club, a binder with useful information and resources to help run your club. We have launched the new YNZ Club Manual on the YNZ Website, making it a much more accessible and useful resource for clubs, Commodores, flag officers and members.

Having the Club Manual online allows us to update the information as needed so you always have up to date information, it means that it can be accessed by anyone at any time and we can add useful resources to it as we find them. We encourage people to send us anything they feel would be useful to share with others.

The manual includes the following sections:

  • What YNZ does
  • Sailing Programmes
  • Inclusion
  • Coaching
  • Resources for Clubs
  • Club Risk Management
  • Funding
  • Advocacy
  • Communication and Media
  • Useful areas of the YNZ Website
  • Race Management and Running Events
  • Handicaps and Ratings
  • Good Practice Ideas for Clubs

Yachting New Zealand’s strategic purpose is to help New Zealanders access, enjoy and succeed on the water for life. We recognise a major part of this is ensuring clubs are capable and strong. We hope this manual will be a valuable tool to clubs in helping achieve your goals.

If there is information you feel is missing from this resource that others could benefit from, please get in touch with us and we can add to it and keep this a relevant, up to date, living document.
