Issue date

Matt Stechmann is the current OK Dinghy World Champion and today entered Oceanbridge Sail Auckland which is set to attract the top OK sailors from around the country.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back out on the water at Oceanbridge Sail Auckland. It’s the third year the OK’s have been invited and its turned into our biggest event numbers wise. Stechmann won the OK Worlds by just one point ahead of friendly rival Luke O’Connell in a short and sharp series which was hosted by Black Rock Yacht Club in Melbourne, Australia.

The Oceanbridge Sail Auckland OK Dinghy fleet is set to hit 30 boats which will make it one of the largest fleets racing in the annual regatta. The invited classes play a major role in Oceanbridge Sail Auckland which is also home to the Flying 15 Auckland Championship.

Oceanbridge Sail Auckland is scheduled to race from the 26th February through to the 1st March from Royal Akarana Yacht Club on Auckland’s Eastern Bays, Orakei, on the outskirts of Auckland’s CBD.
