Oceania para sailing champs to run alongside Pacific Games

Issue date

The inaugural Oceania para sailing championship will be held in Samoa in July, which is also being sailed alongside the Pacific Games.

Competition in para sailing and kiteboarding (twin tip) will be run alongside the Pacific Games classes of the Laser and Hobie 16 out of the Samoa Sailing Association from July 9-13.

Racing in the para sailing will be in both single and double in the Hansa 303.

This will be a good opportunity for para sailors to race against other sailors from the Pacific to claim the title of Oceania champion, in the warm waters of Samoa.

Anyone keen on competing needs to register their interest by May 23 with Yachting New Zealand, who will pass it on to the organisers.

Send applications to Yachting New Zealand chief operating officer Andrew Clouston on andrew@yachtingnz.org.nz.
