The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra presents Into the Storm – a concert that will rattle, unnerve and animate the senses, while celebrating the forces of the ocean.
These forces of nature rush into the concert hall to engulf all in their path when the NZSO performs three monumental works of the twentieth century repertoire.
Taste the salt of a bitterly cold ocean voyage with Benjamin Britten’s Four Sea Interludes from his masterpiece opera, Peter Grimes. Then acclaimed British violin star Anthony Marwood takes on Britten’s famously difficult Violin Concerto, which pushes the violin to the extremes of its power. We end our journey among the crashing fjords and mighty cliffs of Finland with Jean Sibelius’ Symphony No. 2, marking the legendary composer’s 150th anniversary.
The NZSO would like to offer Yachting New Zealand a discount to these concerts. SYMPHONY 20 DISCOUNT – 20% off a full adult ticket price.
