RNZYS Cruising Series 1819

The new Coastal Classic website is live!

Issue date

The New Zealand Multihull Yacht Club is pleased to announce that a new website for the Coastal Classic yacht race is now live.

The website, nearly one year in planning and development, reflects the special nature of the Coastal Classic, and the excitement and adventure of the racing. It is an archive of historical information, a place to find out about this year's race, and a channel for spectators to stay updated continuously with the latest of the 2012 race, from the minute the start gun goes, until the last boat crosses the line.

It is also the place where skippers submit their entries, and where all race management is conducted, including radio skeds, finish times, and results. Musto race gear can also be ordered through the site.

"We thank the development team, led by Anthony McBride, with help from Jon Vincent, Clive Wright and Tim McDowell," says NZMYC Commodore, Matthew Flynn. "It has been a massive undertaking for these guys and we are very pleased with the result."

The website was developed for the NZMYC by BKA Interactive.

The Coastal Classic starts on Friday 19 October, off Devonport Wharf in Auckland, and finishes off Russell Wharf in the Bay of Islands. It is 119 nautical miles long. The event's terrific prize pool is contributed by Safety at Sea, PredictWind.com, Dirty Dog, PIC Insurance, RAILBLAZA, Mount Gay Rum, ELF Oils and Hella Marine. MUSTO is official clothing supplier.
