Multihull Club presents Guest Speaker Kevin Peet

The New Zealand Multihull Club Presents Kevin Peet as Guest Speaker on Tuesday 1st April at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron. To be held in the Dinghy Locker at 7.30pm.

 Debrief on the Jack Tar Regatta

KP is a highly experienced commercial and racing skipper who has helped to win major regattas both in New Zealand and overseas.

Between 2001 and 2005 he was Training Manager at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron’s junior sailing team, which won the RNZYS Youth Match Racing Regatta.

Previous winners of the event include Jimmy Spithill.

In recent years, Kevin was boat captain of Team Vodafone, which campaigned an ORMA 60 trimaran, which was billed as “the fastest boat in the southern hemisphere” and has set many records.  Kevin has participated in more than 20 Cat 1 races and has worked as a commercial skipper and as a project manager for Emirates Team New Zealand.

KP comes from a cat racing family, his Grandfather and father as crew won the Interdominions on a kitty cat. His family are 3rd generation racing Paper Tigers in the National Championship. KP won it in 2003 1999 and 2000 and has also campaigned the GBE Dire Straits out of Tauranga. KP has sailed on borderline for three years 1st 2012 nationals, 3rd 2013 nationals and 1st 2014.
