More than 70 boats from Pied Pipers through to TP52s have already entered the Lewmar Triple Series as the thirst for short-handed racing continues following lockdown.
The series opens with the Lewmar 60 on July 4 before the Lewmar 100 on August 1 and Lewmar 50 on August 29.
There are 10 different divisions and a variety of courses and lengths, designed to suit hard-core racers through to couples wanting to give it a go.
The Doyle Sails divisions are for two-handed crews who want some serious racing and to do the longer courses, the PIC courses are perfect for the likes of the Young 88 fleet and small boats who want to pop their kites and the Baltic Division is designed for a more relaxed shorter course including the popular monohull cruising division and Baltic 4; the perfect division for classic yachts and other similar yachts.
Divisions for the Lewmar Triple Series
- Doyle Sails 1 - Monohull PHRF .860 and above
- Doyle Sails 2 - Monohull PHRF .740 to .859
- Doyle Sails 3 - All multihulls
- PIC Insurance 1 - Traditional keelboats PHRF .700 to .799 (Y 88)
- PIC Insurance 2 - Sports-style keelboats PHRF.700 to .799
- PIC Insurance 4 - Monohull cruising PHRF above .700
- Baltic 1 - Small heavy displacement keelboats
- Baltic 2 - Small light/medium displacement keelboats
- Baltic 3 - Monohull cruising yachts under 12.5m (no extras)
- Baltic 4 - All monohulls (short course) handicap (including classic yachts)
