The NZ Sailing Trust has entered Lion New Zealand, alongside Steinlager 2, into the Coastal Classic Race from Auckland to Russell. Crew places are available for people keen to experience maxi yacht sailing on Sir Peter Blake’s iconic yacht, Lion New Zealand.
The Race starts on Friday the 24th of October at 10am, and will take between 12 to 24 hours to complete depending on the conditions. On board Lion New Zealand will be an experienced crew who will host the journey and provide all safety briefings and sailing expertise.
It will be a trip of a lifetime, and the opportunity to experience team racing on a maxi yacht. Participants do not need prior experience but should expect to be completely hands on and be great team members.
Space is also available on-board Steinlager 2 for the delivery back.
