Join the fun at Olympic fan zone

You might not be able to get to Tokyo to watch next month's Olympic Games but you can get closer to the action by helping out at the NZ Team fan zone at The Cloud in Auckland.

Volunteers are needed to help out at The Cloud in a variety of roles to ensure supporters come away with a special experience while cheering on New Zealand's Olympians.

The Cloud on Auckland's Queen's Wharf will be be the headquarters of the first NZ Team fan zone, where supporters can share in the excitement of the Olympic Games, give a sport a go, test their Olympic knowledge or just enjoy New Zealand hospitality while cheering on the NZ Team while they compete against the world’s best. 

The NZHQ will have a number of activations and experiences for visitors including: 

  • A full school programme (weekdays) 
  • A programme for public access throughout the week and weekends 
  • Bespoke events hosted by the New Zealand Team, their supporters and partners 
  • Opportunities to meet Olympians both here in New Zealand and in Tokyo via direct links 

The NZOC are looking for volunteers to be a part of the action and assist in a variety of support roles including: 

  • Hosting guests and VIPs 
  • Meet & greet at reception desk  
  • Supporting activity zones
  • Assisting with school's programme 
  • Merchandise store support 
  • Capturing social content 

In return for your generous support, not only will you experience the excitement of cheering on the New Zealand Team with New Zealand’s national sporting fraternity and the family and friends of our athletes, the NZOC will also train, feed and outfit you.
