Following on from the huge success of the Waikawa Boating Club's Evolution Sails Women’s Regatta, the Gulf Harbour Yacht Club, in association with the Auckland Yacht and Boating Association, are running a Women on Water Weekend in March 2022.
The event will be sailed in the beautiful waters off Gulf Harbour in the Hauraki Gulf on March 10-12, 2023 and is designed to provide an opportunity to enjoy a weekend on the water racing, plus off the water socialising. The main emphasis is on having fun.
You can bring your own boat and crew or sign up to be placed on a yacht. The regatta is open to crews and individuals of all sailing levels.
Friday starts with a boat familiarisation and shakedown sail to the beautiful island of Tiri Tiri Matangi, followed by a burger buffet back at the club. Saturday and Sunday will feature back-to-back racing and plenty more socialising.
