A number of owners will be wanting to check on their boats at moorings and marinas so it would pay to know what the rules are under Alert Level 3.
The guidelines outlined in the PDF below were drawn up last year and currently remain unchanged.
Marinas and boat yards are allowed to open under Alert Level 3 and, however many marina operators are offering to check and inspect vessels on behalf of customers to reduce the potential spread of the virus.
Anyone wanting to check on their boat themselves should seek approval from the marina operators first.
It's important to remember boat yard operators are not permitted to allow users or the public onto hardstands, only contractors whose businesses have completed a risk assessment to confirm that they can operate safely. Some yards will remain closed.
