A number of yacht clubs are finding a school holiday programme delivering Learn to Sail 1… Start Sailing! over a four-day intensive a popular option through January.
“Club’s tell me that this works well for them with club resources available, students around to run the courses and generally better weather than before Christmas,” reports Kim Admore, Regional Support Officer in the upper North Island.
“After four solid days the students can get around a course and can go away with a certificate for Learn to Sail 1… Start Sailing!,” he continues.
“Clubs such as French Bay Boating Club, Kohimarama Yacht Club and Murrays Bay Sailing Club are currently offering this option.”
