Family fun at Westhaven Marina Day

Issue date

The public will get a chance to explore the Southern Hemisphere's biggest marina during the Westhaven Marina Day on March 19 (11am-3pm).

Westhaven's clubs and operators have come together to make the day happen, giving the public the chance to take marina tours on the Watchman, fish off J Pier, enjoy boat displays (including a surprise guest), stallholders and activities, opportunities to try sailing, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding in St Marys Bay, free facepainting, balloons and even a pirate ship bouncy castle, free sausage sizzles, live music and free mini-bus transport to get everyone around.

Please dress for the weather and in suitable clothing if you want to try boating activities. Sports gear is great - jeans are not. There should be plenty of parking but please only use the white spaces (yellow spaces are reserved for permit holders).
