Organisers welcome women to bring their own boat if they have one, and encourage those without boats to get in touch early so they can allocate positions.

“We hope to get a number of entries from within the Auckland region and expect some will bring their own boats.  We will strive to find crew positions for everyone, but it will depend on the number of boats available. Males are permitted to be part of the crew but limitations have been put in place based on crew size. Interested sailors are encouraged to sign up early as entrants will be allocated to boats on a first come first served basis," she says.

There are also a limited number of berths available at Gulf Harbour Marina, so it's important to book as soon as possible if you are interested.

There are social activities planned for Friday & Saturday evenings, with the event prizegiving on Sunday. The event is also being run as a Sailors for the Sea clean regatta.

Located in a prime spot at Gulf Harbour, some of the best sailing waters in New Zealand are located just outside the marina entrance.  A shakedown sail on Friday to the beautiful TiriTiri Matangi Island will allow participants to get to know owners, other crew and their allocated boat.  Saturday and Sunday feature back-to-back racing, with or without extras, around a variety of courses.
