The fourth edition of the annual 24-Hour Endurance Yacht Race will take place in Wellington on the weekend of March 14-15.
The race, which is organised by the Lowry Bay Yacht Club, is open to all keelboats (cat 5 and above) and trailer yachts over 20 feet in length and will start from Eastbourne's Rona Wharf at 11am on March 14.
Prizes will be awarded for line and handicap honours and last year Masterpiece took out both titles among the 14-boat fleet after sailing 127.19 nautical miles (162.02nm on corrected distance).
A minimum of four crew, including skipper, is required on each yacht with at least two crew on deck at all times. Organisers can help if you need crew or a yacht to sail on and free berths for up to four days are available for visiting yachts.
Entries have opened and can be found here, along with the notice of race.
