Enrol now for race management seminars

Issue date

Yachting New Zealand will hold five free seminars around the country in coming months for anyone interested in being a qualified club or national race officer.

Race management seminars aim to provide the knowledge and skills required to ensure quality, consistent and fair race management for sailors.

The race management seminar is a prerequisite to appointment and revalidation as a qualified club or national race officer but is also useful if you are just wanting to learn a bit more about running races so you can help at your club.

These seminars are free to attend for affiliated club members.

Seminars are being held:

  • June 15-16: Northcote Birkenhead Yacht Club, Auckland
  • July 27-28: Lowry Bay Yacht Club, Wellington
  • August 3-4: Napier Sailing Club, Napier
  • September 7-8: Vauxhall Yacht Club, Dunedin
  • September 14-15: New Plymouth Yacht Club, New Plymouth

To register for one of these seminars, see the race officials course calendar and click on the course you would like to attend. You will need to create a log-in to the Yachting New Zealand website.

Click here to see the course outline for more information about what the seminar will cover.

Spaces are limited, so register early so you don’t miss out.

Yachting New Zealand have qualified more than 35 race officials in the past year. These dedicated volunteers make yacht racing around the country possible.
