Coaches,
Just to give you a quick run down of what the end of 2017, and start of 2018 looked, and look like for coaching in New Zealand.
Forums
There were 10 successful coaches forums run over September/October with 135 coaches/parents/and some sailors in attendance. A story was shared, and challenges set. If you weren't there, find someone in your region that did attend, and ask them what was covered. There will be a short video up in due course with the nuts and bolts of the forums delivered.
Coaching Courses
A number of coaching courses were run towards the end of 2017. Please be aware, that coaching courses are generally run over the winter months and during the off season. If you are interested in doing a Race Coach Course, then please let Gareth know: gareth@yachtingnz.org.nz
EMBARK
EMBARK is our new online learning platform. This was launched towards the end of 2017, and is now available for coaches to get a look into. Goodsports
There will be a number of Goodsports workshops run over the next few months in Auckland. Please spread the word, and get parents, and club members to head along, as well as yourselves. Keep an eye out for these dates.
Revalidation and Coaching Course Changes
There will be some minor changes to the coaching courses, and revalidation process this year. When exactly these will be rolled out are not confirmed. So please keep an eye out for these.
