On Saturday 19th November 2016, members of RAYC were given the opportunity to kick off the demolition of the current building.
Heaps of members took up the call, with over $3,000 raised for the club on the night.
Young, old, abled and challenged all had a chance to take a swing, marking a very significant day.
The Akarana Bar & Cafe will continue as normal for the following dates:
- Friday 25th Nov
- Saturday 26th Nov
- Sunday 27th Nov
- Friday 2nd Dec
- Saturday 3rd Dec
- Sunday 4th Dec
After the 4th December we will be in a transition zone. To ensure you are fully up-to-date, make sure that you like us on Facebook and check the website on a regular basis.
All eligible paddlers are able to move into the containers from Monday 28th November. The prize giving for the White Island Race will take place at Auckland Sailing Club on Thursday 1st December from 6:30pm.
The final date for dinghy lockers to be cleared is 30th November. Anything remaining in the lockers after this time will either be sold, or thrown out.
Our staff will begin to relocate from Friday 2nd December, however are keen to get moving so may sneak over to Auckland Sailing Club a little sooner.
The plan is to have as little down time as possible. We ask that you bear with us during this time! The inconvenience will be worth it in the end!
Oh, and one more thing. As this stage, and according to the current plan supplied by Fletchers, the building will be gone before Christmas!
