Day Skipper Course at Weiti Boating Club

Day Skipper is Weiti Boating Club's most popular course and is the best course for those new to boating.  It is an introductory course for all members of the family or crew. This course applies to a wide range of vessels including yachts, launches, powerboats, jet skis, sea kayaks, and waka.  

The course covers boat handling, safety equipment, navigation, tides, weather, rules and regulations, emergencies, and knots – it is a broad course outlining the whole boating experience. 

Aim: To gain essential boating knowledge and safety.

Duration: 15 Hours 

Qualification: NZ Day Skipper Certificate. Unit Standard 26542 available.

Date: Saturday 29 October & 5 November

Time: 9am – 4.30pm
