The world's top sailors will descend on Aarhus in Denmark next year for the Sailing World Championships and it will be an event the NZL Sailing Team will want to build on their success at last year's Rio Olympics.

All of the Olympic classes, as well as the Formula Kite, will compete in Aarhus from July 30-August 12 for the joint world championships, which are held every four years. New Zealand won two medals at the 2014 regatta in Santander, Spain, with Peter Burling and Blair Tuke continuing their dominance in the 49er (they won by a whopping 46 points) and Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie collecting silver in the women's 470.
It will be a key regatta in the leadup to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics - New Zealand won a record-equalling four medals at last year's Rio Olympics.
The nomination regulations for New Zealand sailors to be nominated to attend the Sailing World Championships have been finalised and can be found here.
