Two Assistant Learn to Sail Coaches are on the right pathway, having just been accepted into the Northland Pathway to Podium and Educare Northland Sports Talent Hub.
Holly McNeil and Kaya Tobin are two of eighteen athletes that have been selected for the programme. While this programme is focused around their own sailing, and developing the generic skills and knowledge around topics including nutrition, mental skills, strength and conditioning, sporting ethics, athlete life and recovery, there is no doubt both Holly and Kaya will be able to feed this back into their local club (Bay of Islands Yacht Club) and help out their fellow club members. Furthermore, Holly and Kaya are both qualified Yachting New Zealand Assistant Learn to Sail Coaches, and will be able to pass on their learnings and knowledge to the sailors they coach.
