As many as 114 boats were split into 11 different fleets and they enjoyed the moderate winds that saw them shoot through the Motuihe Channel and onto their respective courses. The biggest fleet was in the PIC Marine Insurance 1 Keelboats division, with 17 entries.

Wired took line honours among the 10 boats contesting the NZ Rigging 1 monohull division, finishing in just under eight hours, one hour ahead of the next boat Anarchy, who won on handicap.

The next race is scheduled for Saturday August 4, with the final race of the series on Saturday September 1.
