Bid now on Great Blake Race auction

From holidays in New Caledonia and Bali to an overnight experience on the HMNZS Wellington and a dinner party put together by a an executive chef, there's something for everyone in the Great Blake Race online charity auction.

The annual Great Blake Race Charity Regatta is on Thursday, October 31, and run in partnership with the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron. 

It is BLAKE's biggest fundraising effort, attended by up to 500 people when a fantastic afternoon of yacht racing is followed by an evening of great food and drinks, entertainment and a live charity auction with more than $100,000 of items up for grabs at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron.

Funds raised from this event will support BLAKE’s environmental programmes, that aim to inspire young New Zealanders to lead a sustainable future, and the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron's international sailing fund. 

Even if you aren't attending the charity regatta, you can still place bids on these auction items. Get bidding to get a head start on the competition.

Follow these instructions to register and bid on more than 75 amazing auction items. 

To register via SMS

1. Text: regatta19 followed by your full name
2. To: 2834
3. Example: regatta19 John Smith
4. Follow the registration link you are sent from GalaBid to log in and place bids.

To register via browser

1. Visit: app.galabid.com/regatta19
2. Click on the 'Register' button
3. Enter your details and click 'Register'
4. You will then receive a text to your mobile phone with a verification link. Clicking the link will take you to the auction where you can log in with the password you entered during registration. You are now ready to bid.

Don't have a smart phone?

1. Register as above, then you will be able to place bids via SMS or via the browser
2. Text bids to the same number 2834
3. Enter the amount in without any symbols followed by the letter 'L' and the item number with no spaces between.

Example: To bid $99 on item 33, text: 99L33
