Aon and Yachting New Zealand: finalists for Commercial Partnership Award

On 19 February, the New Zealand Sport and Recreation Awards Judging Panel met in Auckland to select winners in six categories:  Event Excellence, Community Impact, Communication Excellence, Innovation Excellence, Commercial Partnership and the C.K. Doig Leadership Award.

Yachting New Zealand and Aon New Zealand have been named as one of three finalists in the Commercial Partnership Category.

“We are very proud to be named alongside the other finalists for this accolade from the New Zealand Sport and Recreation Awards” says David Abercrombie, Yachting New Zealand’s Chief Executive.  “This acknowledgement is a testament to the efforts put in to create a win-win-win for Aon New Zealand, Yachting New Zealand, and the boating community.”

He continues: “This is motivation for us to continue to strengthening the relationship with Aon New Zealand and extending the benefits into more corners of our sport.”

The panel of Peter Dale (Chair), Sir John Wells, Jennifer Gill, Selwyn Maister, and Peter Miskimmin, were impressed with the variety, quality and impact of the many projects and programmes taking place across the country.

  • Taranaki Secondary Schools Sports’ Association and Shell Todd Partnership
