Access Class European & Asia Pacific NOR's available

Issue date

Notices of Race have been released and online entry is now open for two Regional Championships: the 2013 Asia Pacific Access Class Championships and the 2013 European Championships.

The Centenary of Canberra 2013 Asia-Pacific Access Class Championships will incorporate the 2013 Australian Access Class Championships. This event will be held at the Canberra Yacht Club  on Lake Burley Griffin from Friday 29 March to Monday 1 April 2013.  For more information, visit the International Access Class association website regatta page.  The event has been supported by the Australian Capital Territory Government as part of the Centenary of Canberra celebrations.  A National Sailability Conference is also being held at the Australian Institute of Sport nearby, just before the Championships begin.

Just one month later, the 2013 European Access Class Championships will be hosted by the Yacht Club Arbon, on Lake Constance, Switzerland, from May 7-12.  For more information, visit this website.   The Yacht Club Arbon was founded in 1966 and its recently renovated clubhouse offers the ideal infrastructure for championships.  The marina at Arbon is the main base for Sailability Switzerland and provides the necessary infrastructure for people of all abilities. These include two big launching ramps, wheelchair accessible landing stages and two lifts for transferring sailors.

Both events include the Access 2.3, 303, Liberty and SKUD 18 classes.

Also, all sailors interested in competing at this level should note that the Internaitonal Access Class Association (IACA) Championship Guide has been updated. This can be updated from the World & International Championships page under the "Events Menu" on the IACA Website
