Ian Vickers consolidated his 4th position with a 2nd in the final race of the IOM World Championships at Foster City Sunday morning (NZ time). He'd had a race win earlier in the day.
Ian said he felt he was going as well as anybody at the end of the regatta, including getting his starts sorted out. He was very pleased with his result after a slow start to the regatta.
Brad Gibson (GBR) won the regatta with a comfortable margin, from Peter Stollery (GBR) and Zvonko Jelacic (Croatia).
Racing was very tight, with small margins between first and last place in many A-fleet races.
Watch this space for an in-depth talk with Ian after he gets back from the USA.
Congratulations Ian!
