2021 49er nationals rolling around quickly

Issue date

Big fleets are expected again for next month's 2021 49er and 49erFX national championships being hosted by the Torbay Sailing Club.

Last year's nationals was sailed as recently as last month due to rescheduling brought about by Covid-19. Logan Dunning Beck and Oscar Gunn won a third-straight 49er title and Haylee and Nathan Outteridge claimed the honours in the 49erFX class.

There were nine boats in each fleet which featured a mixture of Olympic medallists, top international campaigners and youngsters new to the class.

Four 30-minute races are scheduled to take place on each of the three days at Torbay on February 10-12 and the 49er class association will also hold their AGM after racing on February 11.

The notice of race and entry form can be found on the form below.
