Yachting New Zealand is delighted to announce Oscar Gunn (Murrays Bay Sailing Club) and Francesco Kayrouz (Wakatere Boating Club) as the recipients of the 2016 St Johns Rotary Scholarship.
The Scholarship aims to support two young, talented New Zealand sailors to attend their class Youth World Championship Regattas.
Oscar and Francesco sail the 29er class together. In July they will attend the German 29er Nationals and 29er World Championships in Medemblik, Netherlands.
They are in their first season competing in the 29er class together and have already achieved great results winning the recent 29er Nationals and are looking to build on this at their World Championships.
