The 2015 Volvo National Sailing and Boating Day is an opportunity for all of New Zealand to showcase and celebrate sailing and boating.
The date is set for Sunday 1st February 2015 and it’s time to register your Clubs activities with Yachting New Zealand. One lucky Club will receive a Black NZL Sailing shell jacket (size large) - all clubs registered for 2015 Volvo National Sailing and Boating Day by 1 December 2015 will go in the draw to win.

2015 Volvo National Sailing and Boating Day is a day for sailing clubs to open the doors, welcome the public into our environment, to show case club level sailing encouraging newcomers and existing members to have a fun day at the Club and on the water. It’s all about getting as many people through the Club door and taking part in sailing, windsurfing or whatever water-based activity you offer.
What can you do at your Club? You know your Club best, so this is up to you… but we have an Event Media Pack which includes some ideas and information on how to register your Club activity with Volvo National Sailing and Boating Day to get extra promotion. We will have resources available for you like a poster which can be customised, an example media release, and tips and advice on how to promote your day.
Got something already on at the Club that day? If there’s something already on the club calendar why not take it up a notch by registering it with the Volvo National Sailing and Boating Day, make use of our free poster template and putting our practical media tips into action.
What will Yachting New Zealand be doing? We will help you out with some useful resources including a customisable A3 poster, stickers, brochures, promotional help and media tips and advice - all designed to help make your Volvo National Sailing and Boating Day a success. Yachting New Zealand will also be doing our bit to promote this nationwide initiative showcasing what clubs are offering and encouraging the public to get on board.
