Sailing Whanganui is a family orientated club with the aim of providing sailing opportunities to all.

Sailing Whanganui is a family orientated club with the aim of providing sailing opportunities to all.

There is a structured junior sailing program run at Pauri Lake for school children in years 7 and 8.  Other programs are run as and when demand requires, and at the moment the Club is running a secondary school coaching program on Wednesday afternoons.  It may continue over the winter if required.

Elite coaching will continue for Open Bic sailors over the winter and prior to the World Open Bic regatta later this year.

The club is mainly dinghy orientated, although it does have a large paper tiger fleet, 10 Open Bic's and several club lasers.
Club members can apply to have a boat allocated to them for the season, for the cost of storage. This covers Optimists, Starlings, Open BICs and Sunbursts.
