Tauranga Yacht & Powerboat Club

TYPBC has a stunning location at the end of Sulphur Point with views to the entrance of Tauranga Harbour.

From their large clubhouse TYPBC offers: Keeler, Trailer Yacht,Multihull, Centreboard and Sailboard sailing options to members with both summer and winter programmes. Regular in-harbour racing takes place on a Wed evening, as well as a number of off shore events during the season.   

TYPBC has a sailing school with two full-time coaches employed during the sailing season. School holiday programmes, adult and youth Learn to Sail, school taster, harbour safety & LTS programmes and a race programme are all offered through the sailing school. 

TYPBC also has a full function centre with an in-house Chef and a bar. Club nights are held on a Friday evening with meals and bar available.

    The annual Altex Yacht and Boat Paint 2023 Auckland to Tauranga Yacht Race (A2T) will start at 4.00pm on the 31st of March 2023 at Westhaven.  Entrants will take Channel Island to starboard and finish at A Beacon off the Tauranga Harbour Entrance.
