Marakura Yacht Club

Marakura is a family friendly club that supports sailing on our spectacular lakes Manapouri and Te Anau.

We offer Learn To Sail dinghy courses and hold regular regattas and cruises throughout the season for all classes of sailboat. Currently we have a strong group of juniors having loads of fun on the BIC class dinghies, and several Laser sailors. LTS courses use the failsafe Optimist and Escape (adults). We have a diverse range of keelboats within the club.

Our club rooms have the best view in town with loads of parking, storage area, changing rooms, full kitchen etc. The club rooms can be hired for functions.
