The Shorthanded Sailing Association of New Zealand has to be considered a world leader when it comes to organising fun, exciting and adventurous races that keep sailors on the edge of their gunwales.
They already host the extremely popular Triple Series (three shorthanded races over the winter months), the enduring Round North Island Race and the adrenaline pumping Round New Zealand Race, all with just two sailors on board.
And now SSANZ is dishing up another opportunity for shorthanded sailors to get their fizz on for. The Evolution Sails Northern Triangle will see 40 boats (yes, we know it will be 40 because the race is capped at that number and it will sell out), take on 510 nautical miles from Auckland to Mangonui to Tauranga and then back to Auckland. Check out the latest information regarding the epic adventure race.
