  • Sport New Zealand

    Sport New Zealand (Sport NZ) is dedicated to getting New Zealanders enjoying and excelling through sport and recreation.

    Over the next six years, Sport NZ will focus on providing opportunities for New Zealanders to participate in recreation every day and getting more New Zealanders winning on the world stage.

    Sport NZ will invest more than $70 million in sports each year to achieve this vision across.

    The NZL Sailing Foundation (formally known as the New Zealand International Yachting Trust Inc) is an independent trust which was established in 1988 by well known yachtsmen the late Don St Clair Brown MBE and Sir Tom Clark KB.

    Its objective is to assist in funding expenses of New Zealanders competing in Olympic and other top level international yachting competitions. They are the principal sponsors of the NZL Sailing Foundation Youth Team.

  • New Zealand Community Trust

    Established in 1998, NZCT is one of New Zealand’s largest gaming trusts. In the 12 months to 30 September 2011, NZCT distributed $38.5 million to sporting, local government and community groups nationwide (40.3 percent of gaming proceeds).

    NZCT plays a significant role within the New Zealand amateur sporting fraternity. Around 80 percent of the funds distributed goes towards supporting amateur sport. NZCT support the funding of Yachting New Zealand’s Regional Support Officers, the key people interacting with clubs and the community at a regional level.

  • The Lion Foundation

    The Lion Foundation is one of New Zealand's oldest and most respected Charitable Trusts. In the past 26 years, they've returned over $590 million back to the community, supporting thousands of good causes right around New Zealand.

    Last year The Lion Foundation merged with another leading Charitable Trust, the Perry Foundation. The Lion Foundation internal philosophy is 'make a difference'. In 2011 that equated to over $53 million. The Lion Foundation is a sponsor of the Sailing ‘Have-a-go’ grass roots sailing programme for kids of all backgrounds – founded by Sir Peter Blake to give the opportunity for all kids to learn how to sail.

  • Melanoma New Zealand

    Each year, more than 6000 Kiwis are diagnosed with melanoma each and around 300 people will die from it. Everyone should be regularly checking their skin for new or changing spots and protecting themselves from the sun’s harmful UV radiation, especially sailors and boaties who need to be extra careful because of the amount of time they spend outside.

  • Lawson's Dry Hills

    The Lawson’s Dry Hills’ label was launched 25 years ago. Today, the company’s wines include Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and their famous Gewurztraminer, all made from fruit grown in the Wairau, Waihopai and Awatere Valleys.

    Lawson’s Dry Hills are the official wine sponsor of Yachting New Zealand. The partnership will see them connect with sailing clubs around the country.
