Yachting New Zealand are moving with the times and issuing digital membership cards as part of the member card programme.
In the past, a Yachting New Zealand member card was issued to the members of more than 70 clubs that opted to participate in the member card programme. But ALL members who belong to an affiliated yacht club will receive a digital membership card with a dedicated membership number as well as the partner benefits associated with it.
Not only will a digital card be simpler for everyone - one less card to manage, convenience when redeeming member card offerings and a simpler tool for identification – it will provide a considerable cost saving and be more environmentally friendly.
All club members will be sent an email advising them to download the Yachting New Zealand app once a club's affiliation fee has been paid. A one-time login and password will be issued and, once your club member has logged in, the digital card and partner discounts will be available for viewing in the member zone. Club members won’t need to log in again in future.
Clubs are reminded to submit information on club membership to Monique de Sousa via email monique@yachtingnz.org.nz in the excel template sent out last month by June 13, 2020. Digital cards will be accessible once your club pays their affiliation fee.
