We think sailing and boating is pretty awesome and need someone to help spread that message, which is why we’re looking for a skilled communications manager.
You’ll be an experienced journalist or marketer who has a way with words and an eye for a story. You’ll be responsible for all internal and external communications, including the fortnightly Briefings newsletter, and hold the keys to the Yachting New Zealand social media accounts. You’ll also help bring to life anything from the annual report to the Aon Yachting Excellence Awards and media releases to marketing material and will support the chief executive and national sport development director with various projects. While good written communication skills is the priority, this is a wide-ranging role which also has the potential to cover international events.
We’re looking for someone to join our close-knit team at our Takapuna offices. We’d love it if you knew that port was more than a fortified wine and a Cunningham was more than a character on Happy Days but a knowledge of sailing and boating is not essential. You’ll be able to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, and work both independently and collaboratively.
