Shann NZ Ltd is the Distributor of Dimension Polyant Sailcloth throughout New Zealand to all the sailmakers and other associated marine industries like Marine Trimmers and Upholsterers. We also import and distribute a variety of other different products to a variety of other different industries.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, eager and most importantly reliable to join our team. The appropriate person must be prepared to undertake all facets of working in a warehouse as you will be responsible for maximising customer satisfaction by performing a range of warehousing duties in an accurate and timely manner. While no technical or industry knowledge and/or experience are required, a strong interest in the marine industry, ideally sailing, is preferable.
You should be well presented, methodical, and comfortable with manual and physical labour, you must be able to work efficiently and unsupervised. As this is an Entry Level position attitude is important and this role would suit an enthusiastic hardworking individual that is interested in long term progression within the company with the intention of progressing through to sales and beyond.
We require someone who likes a variety of work and has the experience and maturity to take responsibility for their role. You will need to bring to us a positive attitude towards your work, a strong desire to provide our customers with the very best assistance and a willingness to learn new skills developing into a future Sales role.
A clean NZ drivers license along with an ability to work as part of a team and good people & communication skills are very important.
This is a permanent position. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm. These hours may vary slightly depending on the work load as overtime may be required.
