Learn to Sail
From waka races and club racing to fishing competitions and BBQs, the 2017 Volvo Sailing and Boating Week will be a great way showcase what sailing and boating has to offer.
The fourth edition of the Volvo Sailing and Boating Week will run from January 29-February 5, with clubs around the country designing their own programmes. Each one will be different but the main objective is for clubs to illustrate to newcomers what they have to offer.

The Tauranga Yacht and Power Boat Club are running a series of courses over the school holidays, including a learn to sail and levels 2 and 3 courses from January 23-27.
Yachting New Zealand will be running Sailing… Have a go! days at various venues across the country during the summer holidays.
Sailing... Have a Go! days will be run in the Bay of Islands, central Auckland and lower South Island during the week of January 23-27 to give Kiwi kids the chance to experience the fun and excitement of sailing.
Get ready for an action packed day full of talks, learning, and fun. If you are a coach, or soon to be coach, this will be a must-do.
The world’s best junior sailors are in Torbay this week for the Aon Youth Sailing World Championships and the message to aspiring kids enrolled for the Volvo Sailing... Have A Go! programme is that the top sailors all started in the same boats they get to try out.
