Learn to Sail
This course is for anyone coaching sailors from green fleet or learn to race up to sailors competing at regional and national regatta. In April at YNZ: Monday 15th, Wednesday 17th, Thursday 18th.
The NEW and updated Coaching Pathway Poster and get into Coaching Brochures have now been printed and heading to your local sailing club. The posters and brochures outline the coaching pathway from Learn to Sail Coach through to Olympic Coach.

Camp Leaders have hundreds of jobs for young adults to work in America at a summer Camp teaching kids to sail!
These rolls are best suited for 18 - 30 year olds and require a 10 week (paid) commitment commencing from May/June.

For those who do not know Steve, he has been coaching with Sailability Auckland and the Paralympic sailors for the last 4 years. Steve coaches from LTS level out of Westhaven through to travelling around the World with the Skud and Sonar sailors.
Last year Steve was part of the NZL Paralympic team that went to London. Steve has just returned from Miami where he was coaching Team RIO Gold New Zealand Paralympic Sailing.
Northland Sailing… Have a Go! Instructor Reuben Corbett had a big week out at the Albany Junior High Camp at Shakespeare Bay on the Whangaparoa Peninsula.
Reuben and a few helpers, Woo Yeong, Sylvie Admore, along with Charlie Baillie Strong and Kim Admore from Yachting New Zealand, guided over 180 students through a modified Sailing… Have a Go! program.
This Learn to Sail Coach Course will be held at Murrays Bay Sailing Club on Thursday 21st, Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd March.

Over the summer school holidays the Otago Yachting Association (OYA) ran a very successful Breakaway Sailing Programme over a period of four weeks.
The programme ran one week prior to Christmas then recommenced for three weeks in January starting on the 7th January.
It has been another busy start to the season for our Sailing... Have a Go! programme.
During term four 2012, 1475 students took part in the programme with more than 70% expressing an interest in learning to sail.
