Racing continued for the NZL Sailing Team in France today at ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyeres Regatta where our 2012 Olympic medallist crews hit their stride. On the skiff course Peter Burling and Blair Tuke were showing everyone else how it’s done, while in the Women’s 470 Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie have made major gains on the leader-board. Read more

ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyeres Regatta is underway for 2015 and the NZL Sailing Team has opened well, particularly in the Finn and 49er classes. The new look ISAF Sailing World Cup format, debuting here in Hyeres, sees all fleets restricted to a maximum of 40 boats featuring only the best sailors. Everyone has just four days of competition to make the top ten and entry to their medal race scheduled for day five, Sunday 26 April. Read more

Having both built solid points leads in the Women’s 470 and 49er events over the first five days of the regatta, a good medal race tomorrow in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, will secure gold at this well attended European opener. On 19 February, the New Zealand Sport and Recreation Awards Judging Panel met in Auckland to select winners in six categories: Event Excellence, Community Impact, Communication Excellence, Innovation Excellence, Commercial Partnership and the C.K.
