Call for entries: 2025 offshore double-handed world championships

Yachting New Zealand is inviting sailors interested in representing the country at the 2025 offshore double-handed world championships to register their interest.

The event will be held in Cowes, Isle of Wight in the United Kingdom, from September 22 to October 1, 2025, and will again be contested by mixed crews (one man, one woman) racing on Sun Fast 30 One Design boats.

The event webpage that includes the Notice of Race and all eligibility and entry requirements - is now available and can be accessed here.

Last year, New Zealand was represented by two teams at the event in France - with Andrew Hall and Sandra Bees finishing seventh in the Région Bretagne, and Anna Merchant and Aaron Hume-Merry managing a ninth place in the Département du Morbihan Race.

Only the first five boats advanced to the 48-hour final.

Each member national authority (MNA) is allocated up to two invitations. Information about the selection process for the 2025 event will be communicated by Yachting New Zealand with teams who register their interest.

Complete the form below to register your interest before June 1, 2025.
