Assistant Learn to Sail Coach (Dinghy)
An Assistant Learn to Sail Coach (Dinghy) has attended a Learn to Sail Coach (Dinghy) course , but has not completed all criteria in order to become a qualified Learn to Sail Coach (Dinghy) , or is under the age of 18. Assistant Coaches may assist with teaching the Learn to Sail (Dinghy) Programme, however they must be teaching in conjunction with a qualified Learn to Sail (Dinghy) Coach.
Learn to Sail Coach (Dinghy)
A Dinghy Learn to Sail Coach is a competent coach who has been trained and assessed to teach up to Level 2 of the Yachting New Zealand Learn to Sail (Dinghy) Programme. The Dinghy Learn to Sail coach qualification is gained by completing and passing a two and a half day course delivered by Yachting New Zealand’s accredited facilitators. A Keelboat Coach is a competent and experienced Keelboat, Multihull or Trailer Yacht Coach who has been trained and assessed in the teaching of sailing to groups. A Keelboat Coach will be graded Level 1, 2 or 3 and can teach to that level of the Keelboat Programme. This is a 2 1/2 day course. Click here for more information and the course outline.
