Thames Sailing Club

The Thames Sailing Club is a well established organisation dating back to the mid 1940's becoming incorporated in 1953.

The club caters for a comprehensive range of interests which include a purpose built clubhouse with launching facilities for small craft and centreboard sailboats on the Thames coast road at Tararu. The clubhouse and race control centre overlooks a large well protected bay, suitable for small boat racing, sailing and training through a wide range of weather conditions, over at least a 4 hour tidal range period. We race fortnightly on the tides.

All classes of dinghy and multihulls are catered for with 'P' Class, Optimist, Frostply, Finn, NZ Moth, International Europe, Laser, Paper Tiger, Hartley TS16 and Hobie catamarans in regular attendance. The club also has a number of it's own boats available for use by members.
